Our Story

Carl is a certified public accountant with more than forty years of experience in public, private and non-profit organizations ranging from manufacturing companies to hospitality firms to software developers. His background includes Big Four accounting firms, IPOs, Private Placements, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Sale-Leasebacks, Chapter 11 workouts and healthcare turnarounds. He is involved in Capstone’s client and industry research, financial statement review, CIM preparation, management presentation preparation, financial statement review and back office deal support. Carl was formerly Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO of CSX Resorts. He was also an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the University of Memphis. Carl is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and earned an MBA from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.

Chandler is a Vice President of Capstone Financial Group and guides clients throughout the project lifecycle. He is involved in first-round due diligence including client valuation and financial analysis as well as defining the investment pitch across initial marketing materials. Chandler leads business and technical fit discussions daily and manages second-round due diligence across business, legal, financial and regulatory analysis. He is also actively involved in the negotiation of purchase/sale agreements for both buy-side and sell-side clients. Prior to joining Capstone Financial Group, Chandler was a Strategy Consultant for Accenture. He holds a BS in Business Administration from College of Charleston and a MS in Finance from Tulane University. As a coastal resident, he spends much of his time outside of the office fishing Charleston, South Carolina’s unique water system or playing golf.

Amanda is an Associate with the Capstone Financial Group and is involved in client company and industry analysis, deal valuation, and business development. Amanda has a diverse expertise in top-down fundamental analysis. Prior to Capstone, Amanda was an Investment Strategist for a boutique private wealth firm. She also managed the liquidity and fixed income investment portfolios for a regional municipality, as well as the second largest municipal utility in the state of Florida.

Amanda is a CFA level II candidate and holds a BS in Finance from the University of Central Florida. When outside of the office, Amanda enjoys playing tennis, as well as spending time with her family and beloved cocker spaniel, Wallace, in Winter Park, FL.

Tim is a seasoned researcher and is responsible for Capstone’s many thousands of entries in its specially designed database focused on all things automotive and mobility. He organizes research parameters for Capstone’s clients and sales processes, monitors data reporting, tracks precedent transactions, maintains an exclusive list of the firm’s worldwide prospects and screens the automotive portfolio holdings of private equity firms. Prior to Capstone, Tim was a research manager for CQ Roll Call in Washington, DC. He has a BA in history from the University of Delaware.
