About Greenville Psychology

Dr. Christine R. Petro

Dr. Petro is a licensed psychologist who provides therapy for children, teenagers, and adults.  She has expertise in treating child and family, depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship challenges, and survivors of abuse.  Dr. Petro earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in religion from Emory University.  She earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in Atlanta with a specialization in Child and Family Clinical Practice. Dr. Petro completed her internship at the Vanderbilt VA Internship Consortium in Nashville, TN with a primary rotation in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and a second rotation at Vanderbilt University Psychological and Counseling Center.  Her postdoctoral fellowship was completed at the Child Abuse Research, Education, and Services (CARES) Institute in Stratford, NJ. Dr. Petro has provided clinical training on Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for the National Child Traumatic Stress Network and CARES Institute.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Petro enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, extended family, and friends.
